Work Cover
WorkCover physiotherapy is a type of rehabilitation program that is designed to help individuals who have been injured at work in Australia. The program is funded by WorkCover, a government agency that provides insurance for workplace injuries and illnesses.
WorkCover physiotherapy is provided by qualified and registered physiotherapists who work in private practice clinics. The program covers the cost of physiotherapy sessions, as well as any necessary equipment and supplies.
The aim of WorkCover physiotherapy is to help individuals recover from their workplace injuries and return to work as soon as possible. Physiotherapists work with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, education, and advice on managing pain and preventing further injury.
In addition to physiotherapy, WorkCover may also provide funding for other rehabilitation services as well as aids and equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, and splints.
To be eligible for WorkCover physiotherapy, you must have a workplace injury or illness that is covered by WorkCover insurance. You must also have a valid workers’ compensation claim and a referral from your treating doctor.
If you have been injured at work in Australia, you may be eligible for WorkCover physiotherapy and other rehabilitation services. Contact WorkCover or speak to your healthcare provider for more information.
