Jaw Pain

Jaw pain can be caused by a variety of factors, including dental problems, jaw joint (temporomandibular joint or TMJ) dysfunction, muscle tension,neck pain, degenerative joint disease and other medical conditions. Here are some common causes and treatments for jaw pain:
1. TMJ dysfunction: This occurs when the jaw joint becomes misaligned or damaged. Symptoms include jaw pain, clicking or popping sounds, and difficulty opening or closing the mouth.
2. Muscle tension and Myofascial pain: Stress, poor posture, or teeth grinding can cause muscle tension in the jaw, leading to pain.
3. Other medical conditions: Certain medical conditions, such as arthritis or fibromyalgia, can cause jaw pain.
